Nine days (or a custom 3-11 day format) of Dance Movement Therapy, music, and cultural immersion on the coast of Livorno, Italy — led by Simonetta Ottone and a team of nine specialists.
Dance to Live (DTL) blends modern and contemporary dance, dance movement therapy, body-voice work, and the principles of Maria Fux's Dance Therapy. It's built for professionals — therapists, educators, teachers, psychologists, dancers — and equally for anyone seeking real personal renewal through creative, embodied practice.
Guided sessions bridging the physiological and psychological — treating the whole person, not just technique.
Body percussion, drum circles, and music therapy woven throughout each day.
Educational psychology, physiology/anatomy, and art history — 50 certified training hours toward DTL's 2-year International Master program.
Every format includes training, guided cultural excursions, and B&B-style accommodation in Livorno's historic center.
A customizable taste of the program — choose the modules that matter most to you.
The full training core — 50 hours of Dance Movement Therapy, music, and theory, certified.
The core intensive plus guided trips to Florence, Pisa, and Venice.
The 3rd Edition of "The Danced Breath" runs August 21–29. Custom dates and private group bookings are available on request.
Training takes place across Livorno's coastal setting and the Chianti countryside — with beach meditation at sunrise, movement and therapy sessions through the day, and sunset dances along the shore. Cultural excursions to Florence, Pisa, and Venice (Grand Tour) and museum visits to Livorno's Mimbelli/Fattori Museum round out the experience.
Dance movement therapists, music therapists, an educational psychologist, and a movement-medicine physician — all working together to hold the training. Sessions are offered in English, Italian, French, and Arabic.
Dance to Live welcomes therapists, educators, teachers, psychologists, and dancers building toward certification — as well as anyone drawn to deep personal renewal through movement and creativity. No dance background required.
